My mother was a writer and a newspaper reporter, among other things (artist, photographer and humorist). This was her typewriter that I now have, together with her desk and all of its contents. She wrote a column for a local paper in Minneapolis and my sister and I often fell asleep to the sounds of its clickety clacking (ding!). This painting is for her. That one key always stuck . . .
